The 1817 Mohawk Valley Inn
Waco, Texas
The Mohawk Valley of New York State witnessed countless battles during both the French and Indian War and the American Revolution.
Originally built in 1817 in Schoharie, New York, we restored and relocated the Mohawk Valley Inn as the perfect accommodation for those looking for a truly unique and incomparable vacation experience, with four spacious suites with full bath, small dining table, and coffee station, along with access to a full kitchen and laundry room. One can view the entire restoration process, documented as part of the Magnolia Network show Restoration Road, on the Discovery network.
Built in the style known as a “center hall colonial,” our inn features Dutch-style, hand-hewn timber framing and wide pine floors. We rebuilt the inn exterior with a Southwest “Territorial style” to fit the surrounding buildings, and decorated each of the four suites in a different New York theme: The Catskill, The Adirondack, The Erie Canal and The Hudson.
Whether for a family vacation, business retreat or ladies’ weekend, the Mohawk Valley Inn will add a delightful charm to your event where you can experience this tranquil and inspiring atmosphere set within the Homestead Heritage Traditional Craft Village.
Available as both a full house reservation of four suites, and as single suites.
